Scheduled Maintenance Impacting Georgia CDLs

UPCOMING SCHEDULED SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

JANUARY 13-17, 2021

From 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, January 13 to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, January 17, 2021, an FMCSA State partner will conduct scheduled system maintenance which may impact some Clearinghouse users’ ability to verify commercial driver’s license (CDL) information.

During this time, Clearinghouse users may not be able to verify CDLs from the State of Georgia.

If an employer is unable to conduct a required pre-employment query during this system maintenance period, the employer may hire a driver using solely the procedures set forth in 49 CFR 391.23(e), as outlined in the Clearinghouse frequently asked questions. Once the system maintenance is complete, the requirement to conduct pre-employment queries prior to engaging a driver in safety-sensitive functions will be in effect for all employers.

This email is being sent to all Clearinghouse users registered as employers or consortia/third-party administrators (C/TPAs).
