CDL Verification Restored in Clearinghouse

CDL VERIFICATION RESTORED

On March 5th through March 9th, the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse experienced connectivity issues that prevented the system from verifying driver commercial driver’s license (CDL) information. Certain functions, including conducting queries and reporting violations, were temporarily deactivated.

Pre-Employment Queries Must Now Be Conducted

The issue above has been resolved and the Clearinghouse is now able to verify CDL information. Employers and consortia/third-party administrators (C/TPAs) must now complete all queries. This includes any pre-employment queries you were not able to complete between March 5th and March 9th.

Violations Must Be Reported

If an employer or C/TPA became aware of a driver drug and alcohol program violation, and was unable to report this between March 5th and March 9th, the employer or C/TPA must report this violation in the Clearinghouse now.
