Also, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the CDLIS Gateway will be intermittently unavailable due to scheduled system maintenance. Clearinghouse users may experience issues verifying driver information during this maintenance time.

Clearinghouse Status and CDL Downgrades

Beginning November 18, 2024, having a "prohibited" Clearinghouse status will result in losing or being denied a commercial driver's license (CDL) or commercial learner's permit (CLP). States may begin downgrading licenses before this date. Read more about how a driver's Clearinghouse status affects CDL eligibility.
