Accessing the Clearinghouse as FMCSA Enforcement Personnel
FMCSA enforcement personnel can access the Clearinghouse directly using their Portal credentials. You must have the correct Portal user role assigned. See the job aid below for instructions on how to request this user role.
Users can register online at: https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/register.
Instructional Job aids:
- Employers with Portal Accounts
- Employers without Portal Accounts
- CDL drivers
- Consortia/third-party administrators
- Medical review officers
- Substance abuse professionals
Register as a Clearinghouse Assistant. (Employers, C/TPAs, MROs, and SAPs)
Linking to the Portal for Motor Carriers
Employers who have a Portal account will need to follow these instructions to make sure they have the correct Clearinghouse Portal user role: https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/Resource/Index/Portal-Factsheet
Note: Linking a Portal and Clearinghouse account will tie an employer's Clearinghouse activity to the USDOT Number associated with their Portal account(s).
